MyStudentFlat secures €200,000 within first two weeks of Crowdbase campaign

Student housing platform MyStudentFlat has raised €200,000 in investment capital within the first two weeks of its crowdfunding campaign conducted through the Crowdbase investment platform.

The campaign is ongoing with a target of raising up to €500,000 in total capital by the end of June to fund the next growth phase of the company in Cyprus and Greece.

According to the company, this performance represents one of the fastest capital-raising instances via crowdfunding in Cyprus, reflecting the interest of both private and professional investors in the organised student housing market. The response is particularly noteworthy given that MyStudentFlat has been operating for just 11 months and already maintains a presence in three cities across two countries, specifically in Nicosia, Limassol, and Athens.

The student housing sector constitutes one of the fastest-growing real estate asset classes in Europe, the company stated. The expansion of university programmes, the internationalisation of higher education, and a deficit of quality housing options near university campuses generate a continuously increasing demand. MyStudentFlat was established to address this shortage, utilizing its digital platform to allow users to search, select, and instantly book fully furnished and equipped student apartments online. The firm currently manages a portfolio of more than 60 apartments in Cyprus and Greece, while its annualised rental revenues exceed €530,000.

Beyond its technological component, MyStudentFlat stated that it helps boost the supply of quality accommodation for students and young people. By forming partnerships with property owners and investors, the company introduces modern apartments to the market for long-term leasing, expanding inventory during a period when housing pressure remains a significant socio-economic issue in both Cyprus and Greece.

Concurrently, the platform facilitates the recruitment of international students by enabling them to secure housing before travelling to their academic destination. Through a fully digitized process, students can choose an apartment, sign their lease agreement, and complete all required procedures remotely online. The company has already formed partnerships with universities in Cyprus and Greece, operating as a strategic partner within the student housing sector.

The crowdfunding campaign on Crowdbase remains open for a limited time, allowing prospective investors from the European Union to participate in the next phase of the company’s development. EU-based investors can access the full pitch deck, the financial model, and the Key Investment Information Sheet on the campaign’s webpage.
