A male motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle in Limassol at midday on Saturday, British Bases Police said.
An official update from the Bases said the motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. His female passenger was taken to Limassol General Hospital for treatment with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Both were wearing full motorcycle protective gear, according to the update.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested and is being questioned by police officers at the British Bases station.
The M1 road remains closed because of the crash.
