Temperatures across the Cyprus are set to climb significantly through Thursday, with meteorologists predicting an unseasonably warm spell followed by a weekend weather disturbance.
The Department of Meteorology reports that while Tuesday will begin with clear skies, clouds will gradually thicken across the interior and coastal regions.
Inland temperatures are expected to reach 24°C, while coastal areas will range between 21°C and 23°C.
Conditions will remain mild overnight on Tuesday, though medium and high-level cloud cover will persist under light winds.
The warming is forecast to increase on Wednesday and Thursday, pushing temperatures well above the seasonal average.
However, the Department of Meteorology has warned of a shift in the pattern beginning Friday, as a disturbance to the west of the island moves in.
This transition is expected to bring cloudier skies and isolated rain showers, with a possibility of thunder in some areas.
While the heat will subside by Friday, officials noted that temperatures will likely remain slightly above the typical climatological values for mid-April.
Winds are also expected to strengthen by the end of the week, particularly along the coastlines.
