The Committee on Lacking Individuals in Cyprus (CMP) has expressed its deep appreciation to the European Union for its monetary contribution of €2.6 million.
The EU is by far CMP’s largest donor having contributed €33,3 million to the Committee because the starting of its operations in 2006.
In 2022, these funds will help the CMP Venture on the Exhumation, Identification and Return of Stays of Lacking Individuals in Cyprus with its objective to establish and return the stays of lacking people and to convey to an finish the uncertainty which has affected the households for therefore a few years.
To this point, 1,023 lacking individuals from each Cypriot communities have been recognized and returned to their households for dignified burials.
CMP depends on donor help to implement its bi-communal challenge that alleviates the struggling of the involved households.
