Fine and sunny weather is forecast for Cyprus today, with temperatures reaching 38°C inland, 33°C on most coasts, 31°C on the western coast and 28°C in the higher mountain areas, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Winds will be initially variable and light at force three, becoming southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate at force three to four. The sea will be slight to moderate.
A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged on Tuesday before gradually dipping on Wednesday and Thursday, when they are expected to fall close to seasonal averages. Skies will stay mainly clear through the rest of the week.
