Weak low pressure brings patchy cloud and isolated showers to Cyprus

A weak low-pressure system is affecting Cyprus, bringing patchy cloud and the chance of isolated showers on Monday, mainly in areas south of Troodos.

Winds will blow mainly northwest to northeast, light to moderate at three to four Beaufort, turning southwest to northwest later in the day and reaching five Beaufort locally in the south. The sea will be slight to moderate.

Temperatures will reach around 22 degrees Celsius inland and on the coast, and around 10 degrees in the higher mountain areas.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, spells of increased cloud cover are expected, with isolated showers possible around midday, mainly in the mountains.

Temperatures will rise slightly on Tuesday, remaining near or just below seasonal averages, with little significant change forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.
