Coastal areas will see localised low cloud this morning before conditions become partly cloudy through the day. From midday onwards, developing cloud is expected to bring scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly over the mountains, inland areas and the east. Hail is possible in some storms.
Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate at three to four Beaufort early in the morning, strengthening to moderate to strong at four to five Beaufort through the day, with gusts of up to six Beaufort possible along the southern coast in the afternoon. Seas will be calm to slight in the morning, becoming generally slight to moderate, with moderate conditions along the south and southwest coasts in the afternoon.
Temperatures will reach around 30°C inland, around 28°C on the southeastern and eastern coasts, around 25°C on the southwestern, western and northern coasts, and around 20°C in the higher mountains.
On Friday, intermittent locally increased cloud may bring isolated showers in the west in the morning. Developing cloud in the afternoon is expected to bring isolated showers and possible thunderstorms, mainly in the south and east.
On Saturday, locally increased cloud is expected to produce showers and isolated thunderstorms around midday, mainly over the mountains, areas west and south of Troodos, and possibly in the southeast.
Sunday will be mainly sunny with passing cloud across most of the island; isolated showers in the mountains are possible in the afternoon.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Sunday, remaining close to seasonal averages.
