A 54-year-old remand prisoner held over a premeditated murder committed in Paphos in August 2025 died late Wednesday night at Nicosia General Hospital.
The man had been hospitalised in recent days following surgery. The victim in the murder case was a 34-year-old woman.
Authorities said the prisoner had been under continuous medical supervision and received the necessary medical and nursing care from the relevant services.
He had been held on remand at the Central Prisons in connection with the Paphos case.
