Patchy cloud cover to bring rain to the mountains on Friday

Patchy cloud cover will bring isolated showers to Cyprus’s mountain areas this afternoon, with unsettled conditions continuing through the weekend, the Met Office said.

Winds on Friday will blow south-westerly to north-westerly at force three to four, with seas slight to moderate. Temperatures will reach around 24 degrees Celsius inland, 23 degrees on the coast, and around 18 degrees at higher elevations.

Saturday will see mainly mid- and high-level cloud, with isolated showers again possible in the mountains. Sunday is expected to bring heavier localised cloud with isolated showers or thunderstorms, mainly in mountain areas, while Monday may also see passing cloud with the chance of isolated rain.

Dust may be suspended in the atmosphere over the weekend. Temperatures are not expected to change significantly over the three-day period, remaining close to seasonal averages.
