After the morning’s low cloud and scattered mist or fog clear, the weather will become generally mostly clear, with locally increased cloud from midday onwards, mainly over the mountains.
Winds will initially blow from the sea and locally variable, weak, at 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, weak to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slight in the west and smooth to slight elsewhere along the coast.
Temperatures will rise to around 39 degrees inland, around 31 on the southwestern and western coasts, around 34 on the remaining coasts, and around 30 degrees over the higher mountains.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, local low cloud and scattered mist or fog will occur during the morning hours, before the weather becomes mostly clear. From midday onwards, cloud over the mountains may bring isolated brief rain.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly until Saturday, continuing to remain above normal levels for the season.
