The Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare has declared that today, the Benefits Management Service (YDEP) will commence the disbursement of one-time payments (efapax) to eligible recipients of the Minimum Guaranteed Income (MGI) who receive rental/housing loan interest subsidies.
The lump sum amount will be deposited into the bank accounts of eligible MGI beneficiaries registered with YDEP, through bank transfers.
By decision of the Cabinet on October 19, 2023, approval was granted for the following one-time grants:
- £300 for MGI beneficiaries receiving rental/housing loan interest subsidies, and
- £500 for MGI beneficiaries with severe disabilities receiving rental/housing loan interest subsidies.
