Motorcyclists are bearing the brunt of fatal and serious road collisions over the past few years as the sad trend continues in 2026 with yet another crash reported last night.
A 38 year old man is in critical condition at the Paphos General, following an accident just before 11 in a central Kissonerga avenue. He was on his way to Peyia.
Under as yet unidentified circumstances, the man collided with a car driven by a 47 year old woman, resulting in his critical injury.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was rushed to the Paphos General and intubated, as he suffered multiple fractures.
Doctors describe his condition as critical and the first 48 hours are considered crucial.
The Paphos traffic department and the Peyia police station are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
