Limassol Criminal Court jails four for human trafficking and sexual exploitation

Limassol Criminal Court has sentenced four people to prison for human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, following offences committed between August 2022 and May 2023.

Two 34-year-olds received five-year sentences after being found guilty on the trafficking charges. Two further defendants, aged 29 and 50, were sentenced to 18 months and nine months respectively.

The case came to light after the Anti-Trafficking Office received information and launched an investigation, during which a 24-year-old was identified as a victim of sexual exploitation by the convicted individuals.
