Fuel prices decrease following reduced VAT

Over the past two weeks, fuel prices have seen a decrease following the implementation of a reduced consumption tax.

However, the reduction has not been as substantial as anticipated, and a slight stabilization of international oil prices is also noted.

The application of the reduced tax rate came into effect on November 3.

Consumers benefit from an 8.33 cents per liter reduction in the prices of unleaded petrol and diesel, as well as a 6.33 cents per liter reduction in the consumption tax for heating oil.

The reduced tax rate will remain in effect for automotive fuels until February 2024, while for heating fuels, it extends from December to March 2024.
