EY Cyprus is pleased to announce the addition of two new Partners to its leadership team, Antonis Josephakis and Simos Simou.

New Partners’ Bios
Antonis Josephakis
Antonis joined EY Cyprus in 2013 and has 13 years of experience and specializes in providing Assurance services in the Financial Services Sector in Cyprus and abroad. During his time with EY Cyprus, Antonis has led the audits of some of the largest banking institutions and insurance entities in Cyprus. Antonis also holds the role of the Digital Assurance Implementation leader at EY Cyprus, driving EY’s Assurance department in Cyprus in the digital and AI era. Antonis holds a BSc in Public Business and Business Administration from the University of Cyprus and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Cyprus (ICPAC).
Simos Simou
Simos leads the Tax Controversy and Green Taxation practice within our Tax and Legal Services. He specializes in tax and environmental law, with a primary focus on representing taxpayers and state authorities before administrative bodies, institutions, and courts. He has extensive experience in VAT matters, tax policy – vocational education and indirect and environmental taxation, with practical know-how that extends beyond Cyprus, including projects before European Union institutions and in jurisdictions such as Greece, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Simos is an advocate registered with the Cyprus Bar Association. While serving on CBA’s Tax Committee and the Sustainability Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus, actively contributes to tax and legal practice development across the Mediterranean jurisdictions. He also holds rights of audience before the courts of England and Wales and is a member of the Association of Tax Technicians (UK). In 2018, Simos was named the Global Indirect Tax Knowledge Champion within the EY International Network while in 2025 recognized by ITR Review with the “Tax Disputes Rising Star” award for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
