Employees of the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA) staged a two-hour work stoppage today across Cyprus, aiming to protect the public character of CYTA from perceived threats.
The strike, which started at 8 a.m. and lasted until 10 a.m. was organised by four trade unions representing CYTA workers – Epoet, Aset, Pase and Sidikek-Peo.
Designated rallying points for the two-hour mobilisation included the Saranta Spilia building complex in Nicosia, the Kapsalos building in Limassol, the Ayioi Anargiroi building in Larnaca, the central offices in Paralimni for Famagusta, and the CYTA central offices on Griva Digeni Avenue for Paphos.
