Skies will open mostly clear today before afternoon clouds bring isolated showers and potential thunderstorms to mountain areas.
Temperatures will climb to around 40°C inland, hit 31°C on the western and southwestern coasts, and hover around 35°C across the remaining coastal areas. The highest mountain peaks will reach around 28°C.
Winds will blow mainly southwest to northwest. Winds will start light at 3 Beaufort before building to a light-to-moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort, peaking locally on the southern coast at a strong 4 to 5 Beaufort during the afternoon. The sea will remain smooth to slight.
Tonight will stay mostly clear, though patchy fog and low cloud cover will develop along the southern and eastern coasts during the early morning hours.
Overnight temperatures will drop to around 22°C inland, 23°C along the coast, and 19°C in the highest mountain areas. Winds will gradually shift to a light and variable 3 Beaufort, while the sea drops to calm or slight.
