Thursday will bring intervals of medium and high cloud cover across Cyprus, with isolated light showers possible in the mountains, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Winds will blow mainly from the south to south-west, initially weak to moderate at force three to four, strengthening locally to moderate to strong at force four to five later in the day.
The sea will be smooth, becoming locally slight later in the day.
Temperatures will reach around 31°C inland, around 28°C on the southern and eastern coasts, around 25°C on the western and northern coasts, and around 21°C in the higher mountain areas.
Friday and the weekend will see partly cloudy skies, with isolated light showers possible in the mountains on Friday and Saturday.
Temperatures are expected to drop on Friday, falling below seasonal norms, before rising again over the weekend to near the average for the season.
