The Water Development Department has begun distributing free water-saving equipment to households and business premises across Cyprus, starting in Paphos district.
Around 75,000 packs will be distributed free of charge, each containing four tap aerators and two shower flow reducers. Distribution to businesses and commercial premises with high water consumption began earlier in 2026.
The rollout will continue in phases over the coming months until the equipment reaches households and premises across the island.
In total, the initiative will see two million tap aerators and one million shower flow reducers distributed across Cyprus.
The department said the devices can reduce water consumption by up to 30% without any noticeable impact on user comfort.
