Crime Investigation Department Larnaca is searching for 38-year-old Charalambos Antoniou in connection with weapons found yesterday afternoon at a house in Larnaca. He is a person who has previously come to Police attention in various cases.
Officers found the weapons at his house yesterday afternoon, following the assessment of specific information.
During the search, officers found and seized two automatic firearms, a G3 and a Czech-made rifle resembling a Kalashnikov, along with a German-made pistol and a number of cartridges of various calibres.
The seized items will be sent for scientific and forensic examination to determine whether they have been used in criminal activity in the past.
Police said the operation was part of targeted efforts to combat organised crime and strengthen citizens’ sense of security.
