Cyprus issues new orange heat warning for Wednesday, July 22

The Department of Meteorology has issued a new warning for extremely high temperatures, valid from 12pm until 5pm on Wednesday, July 22.

The warning was issued at 4.44pm on Tuesday, July 21, and rated at orange risk level, according to the department.

The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 43C in inland areas and around 32C over the higher mountains, the department said.
