Contamination due to a listed building in Athinas Street in Paphos

Residents in Athinas Street, in Paphos, are strongly complaining about the situation in the area due to a listed building there.

In particular, they say, after the cancellation of the restoration procedure of the listed building of the Department of Social Security, there is a lot of dirt in the area, and in some cases, homeless people find shelter there.

The residents are calling for the building to be maintained as they say that it is dilapidated, a danger, and a source of pollution.

It is noted that the former Minister of Labor and Social Security, the late Zeta Emilianidou, had agreed with the Municipality of Paphos on the design and implementation of the project. However, the project was canceled due to high costs.

Residents are demanding that the doors of the building be sealed so that no one can enter the building.
