Russian forces launched a targeted attack against port infrastructure in the city of Odesa on Saturday, striking a commercial vessel flying the flag of Antigua and Barbuda and killing one person, according to local administrative authorities.
Odesa Regional Governor Oleh Kiper announced the details via a statement on the Telegram messaging application, confirming that three other individuals sustained injuries during the strike.
In addition to the impact on the foreign-flagged merchant ship, Kiper reported that the attack inflicted significant damage on vital port infrastructure. The governor noted that the bombardment struck several shore facilities, causing structural damage to buildings, storage tanks, and logistical warehouses within the maritime complex.
