Skarinou crash: Motorcyclist killed on motorway

A 55-year-old motorcyclist was killed on Sunday morning in a crash on the motorway near Skarinou, according to initial information.

The victim was named as Christos Siayilos, from Geri.

The crash happened at around 8.30am while a group of about 10 motorcyclists was travelling on the motorway.

According to initial information, the second-to-last rider tried to avoid a dog that had earlier been hit by another passing vehicle, lost control of his chopper-type motorcycle and fell onto the road.

The last motorcyclist did not see him in time and struck him, killing him.
