Friday will be mainly clear, though localised low cloud or fog is expected during the early morning hours. Cloud will gradually build through the day, with isolated showers and possibly an isolated thunderstorm expected after midday, particularly in the mountains. Should a thunderstorm develop, hail cannot be ruled out.
Winds will initially be variable and light at force 3, gradually becoming southwesterly to northwesterly at light to moderate force 3 to 4, with temporary gusts up to force 5 along the southwestern and southern coasts. The sea will be slight to moderate.
Temperatures will reach around 34°C inland, around 30°C on the southeastern, eastern and northern coasts, around 28°C on the remaining coasts, and around 24°C in the highest mountain areas.
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday conditions will remain mainly clear across most areas, though localised cloud will build after midday bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms in the mountains, the interior and eastern parts of the island.
No significant temperature change is expected through to Monday, with readings remaining close to seasonal averages.
