Larnaca police are investigating two criminal incidents in Agios Theodoros, though it is not yet known whether the two cases are connected.
In the first incident, owners of a betting shop reported to police that morning that their vehicles had been shot at and damaged. CID officers attended the scene to carry out examinations.
Separately, at 4.40am, police received a report of a car on fire in a field in Agios Theodoros. Officers and members of EMAK (Special Disaster Response Unit) attended and extinguished the blaze. The car was found to belong to a 28-year-old Greek national. Further examinations at the scene that morning uncovered flammable material.
The Kofinous Regional Police Station is continuing its investigations into both incidents.
