Cleaner dies after falling from Limassol balcony

A 61-year-old woman died after falling from a fourth-floor balcony while cleaning offices in Limassol on Friday evening.

Diana Tsilidou lost her balance just after 7:00 pm under circumstances that authorities are currently investigating, police said.

An ambulance rushed Tsilidou to Limassol General Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.

Police cordoned off the scene overnight. Officers and Labor Inspection Department officials will conduct further examinations at the building today.

Agios Ioannis Police Station and the Labor Inspection Department are investigating the incident.
