On Tuesday, high cloud will continue to appear at intervals. Winds will be variable, becoming mainly south-westerly to north-westerly later, light to moderate at force three to four, with a slight to moderate sea.
Temperatures will reach 31°C inland, around 29°C on the southern and eastern coasts, around 25°C on the western and northern coasts, and 21°C in the higher mountain areas.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, conditions will start mainly clear but cloud will develop gradually, with isolated showers or thunderstorms expected in the afternoon, mainly over the mountains and the eastern half of the island.
Temperatures will drop noticeably on Wednesday, falling well below seasonal averages, before rising again through to Friday.
