Christodoulides heads to Athens for DEFEA defence conference

President Nikos Christodoulides left Yerevan, Armenia this afternoon following his participation in the European Political Community Summit, heading to Athens where he will attend the DEFEA defence industry conference tomorrow, May 5.

On the sidelines of DEFEA, Christodoulides will hold bilateral meetings with Greek Defence Minister Nikos Dendias and with European Commissioner for Defence Andrius Kubilius. With Kubilius, he will discuss the actions of Cyprus’s EU Council Presidency on defence matters.

The President will be accompanied in Athens by Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas, Deputy Government Spokesperson Giannis Antoniou, and official staff.

Christodoulides is due to return to Cyprus tomorrow afternoon.
