A total of 176 nationals of European Union member states and third countries who had participated in the ‘Global Sumud Flotilla’ disembarked on Friday, May 1, at a port in the Lasithi regional unit of Crete, the Greel Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
According to the ministry, “31 of them were transferred to the Sitia General Hospital for first aid, while the remainder were taken to Heraklion airport, where their gradual departure from Greece commenced under the responsibility of the respective foreign consular authorities.”
