A dog was found with a gunshot wound in Pera Chorio Nisou on Wednesday, April 22, the Movement of Ecologists – Citizens’ Cooperation reported, calling for an immediate and thorough investigation.
According to the Movement’s announcement, the dog, named Miley, was found injured and taken to a veterinarian, where she is receiving medical care.
A complaint has been filed and the case is before the local police station, the Movement said. According to the same announcement, a suspect has been identified, which the Movement said makes swift and thorough investigation necessary.
Anthi Mouzouri, coordinator of the Movement’s animal action team, said such acts cannot go unpunished, and that animal abuse is a serious social problem and an indicator of dangerous behaviour.
