A giant squid has been found dead on a beach in Paphos near the lighthouse, after a member of the public came across it during a walk along the shore.
The person shared photographs of the find on social media, noting the squid’s considerable size. To illustrate the scale, they placed their foot — a size 38 — alongside it for comparison.
The images drew attention online, with the photographs capturing the striking size of the marine creature.
