A fire broke out before dawn on Wednesday in an abandoned brick house in Agioi Trimithias, in the Nicosia district.
Firefighters from the Lakatamia station arrived to find a pile of wooden pallets and tyres ablaze inside the building. They extinguished the fire by 5:35 am, having been called out at around 4:58 am. A search of the premises found no one inside.
Authorities suspect the fire may have been deliberately set by unknown individuals and are investigating.
