Showers forecast for Holy Week as temperatures hold steady

Increasing cloud cover from midday on Wednesday may bring isolated showers to the east. Winds will be south-westerly to westerly, moderate to strong at force four to five, with gusts of up to force five to six along the southern coast. Seas will be rough. Temperatures will reach around 23°C inland, 21°C on most coasts, 19°C on the western coast, and around 12°C in the higher mountains.

Holy Thursday will bring isolated showers or thunderstorms in the morning, turning to local showers and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon, mainly in the mountains, inland areas and the south-east. Isolated showers or thunderstorms are expected again in the evening, mainly in the south-west, west and north.

Good Friday will be partly cloudy, with isolated showers or thunderstorms expected in the morning, mainly in the western half of the island. Holy Saturday will be mainly cloudy with a chance of isolated showers.

Temperatures are not expected to change significantly over the three-day period, remaining close to average seasonal values.
