Cyprus will start Tuesday, April 7, mostly clear, although increased cloud is expected to build locally around midday and in the afternoon, bringing local showers or isolated thunderstorms in the mountains, inland and in southern and eastern coastal areas.
Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, initially light at up to force 3, later strengthening to force 3 to 4.
The sea will be slight.
Temperatures are expected to reach around 22C inland, around 21C on the south-east and east coasts, around 20C along the rest of the coast and around 11C in the higher mountains.
On Wednesday, April 8, the weather will be mostly clear, although there will be locally increased cloud over the western half of the island. In the afternoon, developing cloud is expected to bring isolated showers in the mountains and the south-east.
On Thursday, local showers are expected on the coast in the morning and evening, while local showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecast at midday and in the afternoon in the mountains, inland and in southern and eastern coastal areas.
On Friday, spells of mainly clear weather will alternate with cloud.
Temperatures are expected to edge up slightly on Holy Wednesday before dipping again and remaining close to seasonal averages.
