Flowing and standing water was reported at various points on the Paphos-Limassol highway at around 8.45 am, as heavy rain fell in parts of Limassol and Paphos, police said.
The heavy rain also reduced visibility for drivers using the highway.
Police urged motorists to take extra care, drive at a safe low speed, keep a safe distance from vehicles ahead and switch on their headlights.
