Greek singer Ilias Vrettos was punched in the face and a nightclub was damaged during a brawl in Cyprus on Saturday, March 14, after a group of men objected to the order in which their song requests were being played.
The incident occurred during Vrettos’s second set, according to journalist Tasos Tergiakas, who reported the story on ANT1’s morning programme Pro1no.
The confrontation began when one of the musicians reacted to the group’s complaints about the setlist.
Vrettos stepped in to back his bandmate, saying the situation could not continue as it was — at which point the men attacked him, hitting him in the face and causing damage to the venue.
