A 91-year-old man is in hospital in a stable condition after being struck by a car in Latsia, Nicosia, just before 1 pm yesterday.
The pedestrian was hit by a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old woman under circumstances that are still under investigation.
He was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was found to have sustained a head injury and admitted for treatment. Attending doctors said his condition is stable and not life-threatening.
The Nicosia Traffic Department is continuing its investigation.
