Police chief suspends constable arrested for attacking speed camera driver

A 44-year-old special police constable has been arrested under a court warrant and suspended from duty by Police Chief Themistos Arnaoutis over an attack on a mobile speed camera driver on the Paphos–Limassol motorway on 12 March 2026.

The constable is in custody to facilitate investigations.

A 37-year-old arrested earlier in connection with the same incident also remains in custody. Investigations are ongoing.
