Police arrested a 25-year-old Lebanese man at Larnaca airport on Friday evening after he was found to be subject to a Red Notice and wanted by German authorities for terrorism-related offences.
The man arrived at Larnaca airport from Beirut on Friday and was travelling to another European country as his final destination.
He was arrested on a provisional arrest warrant and brought before court, where he was remanded in custody until 13 March 2026 to continue extradition proceedings to German authorities.
Police have not released further information about the nature of the terrorism offences he allegedly committed in Germany.
