German tourism group TUI TUI1n.DE will begin on Tuesday to offer flights back home to customers who stranded in the Middle East because of the military conflict there, its CEO told broadcaster NTV.
Sebastian Ebel said TUI was working with airlines Etihad, Emirates and Qatar Airways, adding that across all tour operators, about 30,000 German tourists were stranded in the region, including about 10,000 of TUI’s.
“We expect to carry out the first flights today with these companies to return our guests,” said Ebel.
