Unverified reports have emerged claiming an explosion occurred at the British RAF Akrotiri base in Cyprus.
Israeli Channel 14 journalist Hillel Biton Rosen reported that a strong explosion occurred in the area of the British Air Force base Akrotiri, with sirens sounding at the base and planes taking off.
It is understood that UK military personnel were urged to take cover after the blasts were heard at RAF Akrotiri, near Limassol, Cyprus, around midnight.

Earlier on Sunday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he had given permissions to the United States to use British bases “for specific and limited defensive purposes”.
Starmer and the Cypriot government had earlier in the day dismissed reports by British Defence Secretary John Healey that Iranian missiles were intercepted while heading towards the direction of Cyprus.
