Cyprus will see mainly clear skies on Friday but cloud building through the afternoon could bring isolated showers and light snow on the higher ground, according to the latest forecast.
Winds will be north-westerly to northerly, light to moderate at force 3–4 and locally fresh at force 4–5, with the sea moderate to rough.
Temperatures will reach around 13°C inland and 15°C on the coast, dropping to about 2°C on the highest peaks where frost is expected in places.
Similar conditions are expected on Saturday, with mainly clear skies giving way to afternoon cloud that could again produce isolated showers and light mountain snow. Sunday will be cloudier, with scattered showers and light snow on the highest peaks expected after midday, before Monday turns partly cloudy.
Temperatures will rise gradually through to Monday, returning to near seasonal averages.
