A memorial and protest rally marking three years since the Tempi rail disaster will be held at Eleftheria Square in Nicosia on Saturday at 5 pm.
The event is organised by the Solidarity Network of Greek Citizens of Cyprus and will include speeches and limited artistic participation, according to an announcement by the group.
Organisers said the rally is part of ongoing solidarity actions with demonstrations under way in Greece and with the Association of Relatives of the Tempi Victims, which is pursuing justice as court proceedings continue.
The Nicosia gathering takes place simultaneously with events in cities across Greece and other European capitals, under the shared slogan: “Either their profits or our lives.”
Organisers said the aim is to keep the memory of the victims alive, express solidarity with their families, and demand a full investigation into responsibilities and the delivery of justice.
