Medium and high clouds will recede quickly on Tuesday, but increased clouds are expected to bring local rain with brief isolated thunderstorms possible, particularly in the western half of the island and later in northern areas.
Snow or sleet may fall on the highest Troodos peaks.
Winds will blow mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually strengthening to 4 to 5 Beaufort on coasts and windward areas. In the afternoon, southeastern coasts will see winds temporarily reach 5 to 6 Beaufort.
The sea will be slight to moderate, though initially up to slight in the south and east.
Temperatures will reach around 20°C inland, 21°C on the south and east coasts, 19°C on other coasts, and around 9°C in the highest mountains.
On Wednesday, the weather will be mainly cloudy with local rain and isolated thunderstorms. The phenomena will weaken and become limited to the west from the afternoon.
The area will be affected by strengthened westerly winds, and snow or sleet is expected in the highest mountains.
On Thursday and Friday, high pressure and good weather conditions will prevail, though locally increased clouds will appear.
Temperatures will drop slightly on Wednesday to slightly above average climatological values, but will rise slightly through Friday.
