Police have identified a suspect in connection with the disappearance of cats from outside a supermarket in Nicosia last January, following a complaint filed on 25 January.
Police told in-cyprus that CCTV footage under examination show a woman placing cages outside the store and trapping a cat, which was then placed inside a vehicle.
The woman has been located and is expected to be questioned.
The case is being investigated by the police unit responsible for animal-related offences.
The complaint was submitted by an individual who said they were the first to notice the disappearance of the cats.
