Cloudy skies, scattered showers and the risk of isolated thunderstorms are forecast in the coming days, with south-westerly winds strengthening and temperatures remaining above seasonal norms.
Tomorrow will be mainly cloudy, with localised showers at intervals and the possibility of thunderstorms. Winds will blow predominantly south-westerly, initially light to moderate at force 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually strengthening to moderate to strong at 4 to 5 Beaufort and temporarily reaching strong force 6 in southern coastal areas.
The sea will be slight to moderate at first, becoming moderate and later moderate to rough in windward areas. Temperatures are expected to reach around 20°C inland and along the coast, and about 8°C in the higher mountains.
Conditions overnight
Tomorrow night will be partly cloudy, with a chance of isolated showers, mainly in the west and over higher ground. South-westerly winds will remain generally moderate at force 4 Beaufort, and initially up to strong force 5 in exposed coastal areas. The sea will remain slight to moderate.
Outlook through the weekend
On Friday, conditions will remain mostly cloudy with local showers and isolated thunderstorms. Saturday will see partly cloudy skies with occasional isolated showers and a continued risk of thunderstorms.
By Sunday, the weather is expected to turn mostly fine.
Temperatures will dip slightly on Friday before gradually rising over the weekend, remaining above the average for the time of year.
