Electric scooter rider in critical condition with multiple skull fractures after Limassol collision

A woman riding an electric scooter is intubated and in a critical condition with multiple skull fractures after a collision at a Limassol junction early on Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at the traffic lights on Nikos Pattichis street, near a car wash, according to Traffic Police.

The scooter rider was travelling southbound when, as the lights showed green in both directions, she attempted to turn right and was struck by a northbound car.

She was taken by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital, where she is being treated in a critical condition.

The car’s driver, a 52-year-old woman, tested negative for both alcohol and drugs. Limassol Traffic Police attended the scene and are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
