Cypriot MEP Fidias Panayiotou will run for parliament with his Direct Democracy party, he announced on Sigma television.
The young European parliamentarian told the “Mesimeri kai kati” programme he intends to contest the election, leaving other parties “to worry”, he said.
Asked what would happen if he wins a parliamentary seat whilst already holding his position in the European Parliament, Panayiotou said Direct Democracy members would make the decision collectively. He would follow his supporters’ wishes, according to the MEP.
