Woman hospitalised after Limassol junction collision (photos)

A woman was taken to hospital after suffering shock and chest pain following a collision at a Limassol junction shortly before noon.

The crash occurred at the junction of Spyros Kyprianou Avenue with Nikos Pattichis Street.

According to initial information, the woman was driving from east to west and attempted to turn right towards Nikos Pattichis Street at traffic lights where photo-enforcement cameras are located.

At the same time, a vehicle moving from the opposite direction collided with her car.

The impact left the woman at the central divider and her vehicle immobilised at the traffic lights in the middle of the road.

Passing drivers stopped to offer first aid. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

Limassol Traffic Police attended the scene to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
